1. Wholesome Culture

Great for: Casual Clothing

Want to rock a classic graphic tee? Check out Wholesome Culture for some cleverly designed, cruelty-free tank tops, hoodies, and t-shirts. Check the line out here.

This brand was started in 2016 by a 24-year-old named Aubrey. This brand stands up for the rights of animals by donating 15% of their net profit every year to animal shelters and rescues.

In the first year alone, they gave 10k to the animals, and this year they’re expecting to give back 40k. What an inspiring millennial.

At Wholesome Culture, they ensure their workers are safe, compensated fairly, and well-treated. They are dedicated to educating the world on plant-based diets, animal rights, and protecting the environment through their graphic clothing line. Every sale and every article of clothing worn helps make a difference.

The brand Matt and Nat stands for Matt(erial) and Nat(ure). They not only ensure that their bags are made from responsible materials, but they also ensure that their workers are treated responsibly.

In order to protect the environment (and save the animals), they’ve dedicated themselves to using sustainable resources such as cork and rubber. We love that their linings are only made out of 100% recycled plastic bottles.

5. Tree Tribe

Great for: Activewear and Accessories

Need a new water bottle? How about a new pair of sunnies? Check out Tree Tribe for all your outdoorsy needs from yoga pants to reusable tote bags.

We especially love their vegan “leaf leather” which is sourced from the Teak leaf. It’s sewn into fabric to create the texture and durability of traditional leather without the guilt. This method preserves the veins of the leaf which means that every single piece of leaf leather is unique.

They make awesome journal covers, passport covers, and wallets. Who knew leaves could be so chic? We also would like to point out that Tree Tribe plants 10 trees for Every. Single. Sale. So far they’ve planted over 200,000 trees in 12 different countries.

Tive IV Change, pronounced time for change, is a vegan watch brand that’s all about educating people on living a cruelty-free and compassionate life through the sales of their watches.

7. Ethcs

Great for: Casual Clothing

Many clothing brands today don’t ask important questions like Who is making our clothes? How are they treated? Or What conditions do they work in?

Ethcs doesn’t only ask these questions but ensures they are answered ethically. This vegan clothing brand boasts of using organic cotton and being entirely cruelty-free. Their fabric is so comfy you’ll never want to take it off. Shop the line here.

We love not only the message the brand stands for but also the high quality of the fabric. We appreciate the lack of frills on their packaging, tags, and labels. You’re buying the clothes for the ethics and quality, not the wrapping it comes in.

8. Olsenhaus

Great for: Luxury Shoes

Olsenhaus was created by the outspoken (and absolutely inspiring) animals rights advocate Elizabeth Olsen. Her mission for the company is to illustrate that  “plundering, cruelty, and greed are not synonymous with true style.”

We love how the company merges the passion for animal rights, ethical business practices, the environment, and fashion. Well done, Elizabeth.

Olsenhaus is always donating to the country's leading animals rights organizations for education and rescue as well as donating products to similar fundraisers. This brand has been worn by celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Emily Deschanel, and Gwyneth Paltrow...to name a few.

If you want the grim truth on the leather industry, just click here. Fair warning, it’s not for the faint of heart, but it is something we all should know about. Knowledge is power, after all.

It’s crazy to think people are still wearing animal products when these brands clearly prove that you don’t have to sacrifice luxury or style to eliminate the use of animals in the fashion industry.

Do yourself a favor and share this post, so your friends and family know exactly what to get you this holiday season.
