Vegans and those on plant-based diets absolutely must supplement. While it’s possible to get enough B12 from fortified foods like nutritional yeast, you would need 3 or more servings per day to meet the recommended daily intake.

Those over the age of 65 tend to also have lower B12 levels, so they may also consider supplementation. As with all supplements, you should ideally have a blood test to first confirm your B12 levels.

B12 is an essential nutrient and likely something that you already consume either through your diet or through fortified foods. It is also water-based, which means your body excretes any excess B12 from your system.

    Very disappointing. They disintegrate in the bottle before you can finish them. Too expensive to lose a quarter of the bottle to dust in the bottom of the bottle.
