The Energy Vitamin
B12 was originally found in our soil. With intensive farming, it’s no longer as available, which is why it’s better to take B12 as a supplement. Interestingly 95% of all B12 is given to farm animals. For those on plant-based diets, we can get our B12 direct.
What It Delivers.
There are no natural vegan sources of B12, so supplementation is absolutely essential for many of our core body functions.
SupportS energy production
Vitamin B12 contributes to healthy energy levels. Low B12 levels are associated with feelings of fatigue and weakness.
SupportS cognition
Several studies have found that higher B12 levels are associated with better word recall and higher verbal fluency(3).
Vital for immunity
As an essential nutrient, B12 can help ensure a healthy immune response in our bodies(4).
What's In It.
Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin)
Manufactured at US GMP certified facility, our vitamin B12 uses the active methylcobalamin form. We use this form due in part to a 2017 study(5) which suggested that Methylcobalamin may be easier for the body to use (more bioavailable) than the cyanocobalamin form, which the body must convert.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need B12?
Vegans and those on plant-based diets absolutely must supplement. While it’s possible to get enough B12 from fortified foods like nutritional yeast, you would need 3 or more servings per day to meet the recommended daily intake.
Those over the age of 65 tend to also have lower B12 levels, so they may also consider supplementation. As with all supplements, you should ideally have a blood test to first confirm your B12 levels.
Is your B12 safe?
B12 is an essential nutrient and likely something that you already consume either through your diet or through fortified foods. It is also water-based, which means your body excretes any excess B12 from your system.
As with all our supplements, we have a rigorous quality system which includes 3rd party certification for potency and impurities.
Why is your dosage 1000mcg?
B12 is very poorly absorbed by our bodies. In fact, of a 1000mcg dosage, it’s estimated that our bodies will absorb just 10mcg. Different doctors recommend different dosages, some higher, some lower, but we feel that 500mcg to 1000mcg strikes the right balance to benefit the greatest number of our customers.
