Ingredients
Melatonin (5mg)
Melatonin, also known as the “sleep hormone”, is the key hormone signaling to your body that it’s time to hit the covers and get to sleep, aiding nighttime relaxation and helping you fall asleep according to your circadian rhythm.
Melatonin supplements are a popular option for travelers suffering from jet lag and individuals who are having trouble falling asleep, and you only need a minimum dosage of 0.5mg or 1mg to start experiencing the relaxing, sleep-inducing effects you’re looking for.
Benefits
Supports your body’s natural circadian rhythm
Melatonin gummies can help support your natural sleep cycle by getting your body back to its circadian rhythm(1), the internal clock regulating when you need to be awake and when you need to sleep.
Melatonin acts by promoting relaxation as you get closer to bedtime, as the levels of the hormone found in your body will naturally rise at night(2), helping you fall asleep easier.
Might help support eye health
On top of promoting better and more regular sleep, research suggests that melatonin might also help support your eye health, as the hormone is believed to be responsible for modulating important retinal functions(3).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe?
As health-conscious vegans, we built this product initially for our own use (and our families), so quality and safety are of the utmost importance to us. We work with an FDA-regulated and a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified facility within the USA, carrying out intensive quality control as well as strict raw ingredient supplier vetting process. We also carry out third-party testing on every single batch.
Does it contain soy, gluten, wheat, yeast, nuts, artificial colors, sugar, salt, or artificial preservatives?
Our Melatonin gummies are free from all major allergens with the exception of traces of tree nuts (coconut) but they do contain glucose to enhance flavor and make supplementation a ritual to look forward to! Our gummies are also produced in a facility that handles milk, soy, wheat, egg, peanuts, fish, and crustacean shellfish.
How much melatonin do I need and are there any side effects to taking it?
Melatonin is considered safe and effective in dosages of up to 10mg, however, most experts recommend around 1-5mg as the ideal dosage for treating sleep disorders and promoting healthier sleep. Dosages higher than 5mg have been found to promote daytime sleepiness and drowsiness, though these findings are yet to be confirmed by the scientific community.
Much more than dosage, however, timing seems to be the most important factor for effectiveness: For immediate-release supplements, taking melatonin about 30 minutes before bed is considered the best course of action, while for slow-release supplements and gummies, around one hour before bed is considered ideal!
